Nate Robinson

Nate’s professional career began in 2002 after playing competitive junior golf. As a kid he played numerous sports; hockey and baseball competitively before being introduced to golf by his dad. Along with his dad and brother, Nate enjoyed some great experiences on the golf course. With backgrounds in other sports he found his golf game improved quickly, and Nate began spending most of my summers at the golf course. Nate has always been intrigued by process of improving, which lead him to helping others to play better golf. There are so many aspects to golf which means there are so many opportunities for someone to improve their game.

During Nate’s more than 20-year career in the golf industry, he has had the opportunity to work at some of the top clubs in the country as an Assistant Professional, Associate Professional, Head Professional and Director of Golf. These opportunities have given him amazing experiences, one of which included spending an entire day with Moe Norman. Nate’s been fortunate to learn under some of the best operators, leaders, and coaches in the industry. This has helped

him to refine his coaching skills providing his clients with the best experience possible in their golf journey. Nate is on a continuous journey to build a system to make golf improvement a more enjoyable and attainable process for my players and myself.

As a PGA of Canada certified instructor, Nate has benefited from learning to coach through the best education system in the world. His teaching style is to listen to the student and pay close attention to the root causes of any issues in the swing. He tries to keep things very simple in his approach. For each student, learning a new skill takes practice and patience. Nate believes this applies to every golfer.

In 2020, Nate’s passion for coaching and helping people lead him to step away from his position as Director of Golf to follow his dream to build a golf academy, Nate Robinson Golf (NRG).
